She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles E. McGowan and Mary Elizabeth McGowan (Singer); her husband Alvin; and her siblings, Wanda Hutt (Glenn), Dorothy Erkenbrack (Kenny), Jean Snavely (Leo) and Dean McGowan (Viola).
She is survived by: her children, Rod Petersen (Joyce) of Shawnee, Kansas and Carol Levendofsky (James) of Belleville, Kansas; and her grandchildren, Christie Kairos (Sunny), Scott Levendofsky (Stacie), Dane Petersen (Jill) and Kay Rieke (Daryl). She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
