She was predeceased by: her husband Walter Hughes; her stepmother Phoebe Spence Potter (Walter); her siblings, Loren, Gerald (Darlene), Thomas (Harriet), Lela C., Ruth E. Sexton and Harriet B. Schaeffer; and her nephew Spence Potter.
She is survived by: her siblings-in-law, Jack Sexton of Denton, NE and Shirley Potter of Scottsbluff, NE. She is also survived by five nieces, four nephews and their families; two step daughters, and their families, other relatives, and friends.
Viewing was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home (1322 19th St, Belleville, KS 66935). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at the Hubbell Cemetery (2940 240th Rd, Nebraska 68375).
