He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence W. Hanel and Katie Hanel (Morgan); his former wife Peggy Danielson; his wife Evelyn; his brother Eugene; and his daughter-in-law Sue "Cathy" Hanel.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Mitchell of Waco, Texas, Diane Woodman (Marlin) of Belleville, Verna "Joyce" Roberts (Larry Deherrea) of Bellmead, Texas, Alan Hanel of Belleville and James Hanel of Waco, Texas.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
We respectfully request that persons attending visitations and funerals to wear masks or other type of facial covering, and to practice social distancing guidelines.
