He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Reed and Ina May Reed (Fraley) of Belleville. He is survived by: his wife Beth A. Erickson of Belleville; his children, Amy Upshaw (Lentz) of Manhattan and Howard G. Reed II (Traci) of Belleville; his sisters, Lorelei Lindblad (Lindy) of Beloit, Ramona Earley (Marvin) of Sun City, Arizona, Nancy Ray of Lincoln, Nebraska and Jane Jeardoe of Belleville; his grandchildren, Hannah, Joshua, Josiah, Elijah Upshaw of Manhattan, Howard "Junior" Reed of Lincoln, Nebraska, Harlen Reed of Beloit, Keyona Reed of Concordia, Laura Miller of Salina, Drew Morley of Belleville, Logan Dahl of Belleville, Cody Deneault (Tabitha) of Belleville, Brad, Darci Deneault (Morley) of Marysville and Isaiah Deneault (Patience) of Scandia; and his great grandchildren, McKinzie Frybarger, Mallory Frybarger of Belleville, Colt Morley, Addley Morley of Westmoreland and Braxton Deneault of Belleville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Memorials are requested to the United Methodist Church of Chester, and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
