We bid farewell to Gaylen E. Meyer (Belleville, Kansas), born in Deshler, Nebraska, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 22, 2024 at the age of 81. Gaylen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest H. Meyer (Bud) and Arlyne Fredericka Johanna Meyer (Bartling); his grandfathers, Ernest Meyer and Frederick Bartling; his nephew Delayne Pohlmann; and his siblings-in-law, Ross Peters, Gary Haddan and Rosalinda Meyer.
He is survived by: his siblings, Robert Meyer of Hubbell, NE, Lorena Pohlmann (Merlyn) of Deshler, NE, Maxine Haddan of Fairbury, NE, Janet Peters of Broomfield, CO and JoAnne Poppe (Gary) of Chester, NE. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.
Viewing was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home (1322 19th St, Belleville, KS 66935). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (805 Church St, Chester, NE 68327). A burial was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
