He was predeceased by: his parents, George Minnig and Neva Minnig (Zahl); his wife Glenda Rae Porter; and his sister Mary Tonkin. He is survived by: his daughters, Janna Meyer (Shawn) and Leesa Minnig of Lincoln; his grandsons, Paxton Minnig (Brooklyn), Maddox Meyer and Brixon Meyer; and his friend Chad Novotny.

Memorials are requested to the church, or the Don Minnig Memorial, to be designated at a later date, and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
