She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald John and Eleanor Aurelia Reathaford (Brand); her husband Merlin D. Skibbe; her children, Angela Kaye Brady and Jondell Allen Skibbe; her son-in-law Steven D. Sparlin; her great grandchild Justin Lee Winter; and her siblings, Gerald, Carolyn Parker-Redmon and Joan Kanash.
She is survived by: her close friend Max Goldwater; her significant other Max Goldwater of Haysville, KS; her children, Gaylord Skibbe of Parsons, KS and Anita A. Sparlin of Arkansas City, KS; her sister Loretta F. Johnson (Roger) of Overland Park, KS; her grandchildren, Crystal Marshall (Dion) of Salina, KS, Candice Winborne (Christopher) of Winnsboro, LA, Tyson Brady (Nikki) of Salina, KS, Briley Ripley (Kristofer) of Arkansas City, KS, Lindsey Sparlin (Christopher Hall) of Kansas City, MO and Ivy Sparlin of Topeka, KS; and her great grandchildren, Trenton, Kaleb, Sheyanne, Xander, Dakota, Xoie and Korbin.
A memorial has been established with the American Diabetes Association.
