With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John Hurst (Bel Aire, Kansas), born in Blackwell, Oklahoma, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward A. Hurst and Velma Mae Hurst (Lesco); his sister Mary McDermed; his brother-in-law Paul; his sister Dorothy Dorow; his brother-in-law Ray; his nephew Andy Dorow; his sister-in-law Dolannes Scheffler (Brantner); and his parents-in-law, Harris Scheffler and Pauline Scheffler (Bunting).
He is survived by: his wife Sherilyn M Hurst; and his children, Steve (Carol Woolley), Berry Woolley and Leslie Woolley.
A rosary was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Church of the Resurrection Catholic Church (4910 N Woodlawn St, Bel Aire, KS 67220). A Mass was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
