He was predeceased by: his parents, Asa Shirley and Avera Shirley (Poynter); his daughter Brenda Ann Shirley; his grandsons, Chace Alexander Shirley and Brayden David Lee Schulze; and his siblings, Mary Hills, Veda Otterman, Ruth Price, Byron Shirley and Robert Shirley.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Jean" Shirley; his daughters, Michele Blitz (Tom) and Brandi Schulze (Joe); his grandchildren, Erin West (Jesse), Makenzie Blair (Bill), Kerrah Schulze, Alexis Schulze-Todd and Teagen Schulze; and his great grandchildren, Micah West, Graham West and Karter Schulze. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
