He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Tegethoff and Viola Tegethoff (Wagner); and his children, Gregory Allen and Robin Nicole (Adam). He is survived by: his son Rich Tegethoff (Londa); and his sister Mary Jo Poggenklass (Jack) of Cherokee, IA. He is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established to benefit the Beattie Fire Department.
