He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Rein, Jr. and Clara Rein (Stieben); his brothers, Cletus and Valis; and his siblings-in-law, Ted and Joann.
He is survived by: his wife Sherron Hanan of Ness City; his sisters, Glendoris Blattner and Genelda Gumescheimer (Clarence); his children, Laura Lowery (Jack) of Fort Collins, CO and Steven Rein (Cheryl) of Bazine, KS.; and his grandchildren, Kacie Patterson (Chad) of Thornton, CO, Lexy Pegg (Skylar) of Loveland, CO, Mitchell Lowery of Honolulu, HI, Chase Rein (Hope) of Colwich, KS, Colton Rein (Jodi) of Greensboro, NC, Jennifer Leiker (Hays) and Brian Ellis (Hays).
Leland Wayne Rein, 81, passed peacefully on August 28, 2020 as a result of COVID 19 at Hays Medical Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ness County Home Health program or the Bazine Cemetery fund.
