With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Retha Kathryn Sweeton of Baxter Springs, Kansas, who passed away on March 18, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Thurman Jones, Donald Jones, Homer Jones and Alma Spainhower. She is survived by: her spouse Jimmie Lee Sweeton; her sons, Stan Sweeton (Tamera) of Olathe, KS, Rick Sweeton (Susan) of Seneca, MO and Steve Sweeton (Karrie) of Lee's Summit, MO; and her siblings, Allen Jones of Baxter Springs, KS, Glen Jones of Miami, OK and Erma Poteet of Joplin, MO. She is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Christian Church in care of the funeral home.
