He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Gibson Hawkins of Baxter Springs, KS; and his parents, Isabel Hawkins and Andy Hawkins. He is survived by: his children, Jana Parker (late Dan) of Blue Springs, Missouri and Steven Hawkins (Paula) of Lenexa, Kansas; his grandchildren, Janet Parker-Spain (Brandon) of Galena, Mallory Montgomery (Dane) of Blue Springs, Rachel Shuck (Kirsten) of Overland Park, Ashley Hawkins of Merriam and McKenna Parker of Lawrence, Kansas; and his great grandchildren, Ashton Parker, Ava, Daniel Montgomery and Annie Shuck.

In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Baxter Springs Historical Society in care of the funeral home.
