We bid farewell to Evelyn J. Buckner of Baxter Springs, Kansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 15, 2025 at the age of 97. Evelyn touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley E. Robinson and Alpha J. Robinson (Hendrix); her husband Paul C. Buckner; her stepfather Albert Beets; and her siblings, Jack Robinson and Doris Loeffler.
She is survived by: her in-laws, James and Betty Buckner of Joplin, MO; her sister-in-law Wanda Messer of Broken Arrow; and her close friends, Robin, Sherry Wene, Rick and LeAnn Chriestenson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Derfelt Funeral Home - Baxter Springs (328 E 12th St, Baxter Springs, KS 66713). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Baxter Springs Cemetery (166 West Ave, Baxter Springs, KS 66713).
