He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver and Blanche; his wife Marjorie Marie Fitzpatrick; his sisters, Peggy Watkins of Baxter Springs and Donna Ellison of Lowell; and his son Curtis James Gilmore.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Gilmore (Robin) of Baxter Springs, KS, Christie Mieseler (Mike) of Sparta, MO and Fallon Rafferty (Robert) of Joplin, MO; his grandchildren, Kayla Edmondson (Riley), Maleia Mieseler (Logan Misner), Mattelin Mieseler, Malakai Simpson and Daxten Rafferty; his great grandchildren, Kylie Edmondson, Kensington Edmondson and Kelsie Edmondson; and his siblings, Opal Harding of Blue Springs, MO and Jack Gilmore of Muskogee, OK. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Derfelt Funeral Home - Galena (1116 S Main St, Galena, KS 66739). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
