He is survived by: his wife Connie Gaines; his brother David Gaines; his brother-in-law Tom Berry; his children, John Gaines (Tina) and Diana Sly; his granddaughters, Samantha Beck (Joshua), Jennifer Gaines (Rogelio Garcia), Hailey Sly and Victoria Sly; his great grandchild Kaiya Sly; and his nieces and nephews, Marcia Murry, Dustin Gaines, Debbie Gibbs, Tom Berry, Shawn Pierce and Eric Gaines.
