With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billie Jack Taber (Baxter Springs, Kansas), who passed away on January 13, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his spouse Gwyn Shaffer; and his siblings, Burgis, Neal and Rebecca (Chambers). He is survived by: his nephews, Brian Taber, Dale, Gary and Steve Chambers; his friends, Wayne and Candie Reinhart; and his caregivers, Dan and Georgine Smith.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lowell Cemetery (9466 SE 72nd Terrace, Baxter Springs, KS 66713).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the VFW Post 554, Joplin, MO.
