She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Peterson and Myrna Peterson (Harrah); her brother Russell Peterson, Jr.; her brother-in-law Marshall Parish, Jr.; and her niece Cristen Plesa.

She is survived by: her husband Johnny Plesa; her siblings-in-law, Eddie Plesa (Renee) of Easton and Amey Parish (David Anderson) of Kansas City; her nephews, Johnny Ray Parish (Kellie) and Nick Plesa (Angie); and her friend Judy Dunn Castle. She is also survived by several grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Maywood Community Church Ladies Council.
