It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ann Theno of Basehor, Kansas, who passed away on June 21, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Mary Ann may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mary Ann touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbert Crum and Emma Crum (Bentz); her husband William Theno; and her grandchildren, Jason Gearhart and Jill Theno.

She is survived by: her children, Linda Gearhart (Mike), Carol Calovich (Chris), Denise Theno and Mike Theno (Jody). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to Risen Savior Lutheran Church.

“I worked with Mary Ann for many years at the Mobil Oil Credit Card Center in downtown K.C. A sweeter person you could never met. What made Mary Ann stand out in my memory so vividly was when I retired from Mobil in 1991 she gifted me with a lovely hand painted scene of two Geese landing on a pond. It is mounted over my computer, so I see and enjoy it every day. But I think now this should be enjoyed by one of her children/grandchildren. If you agree, please contact me at [email protected]”
