With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Laura McCannon of Basehor, Kansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Laura left this world on January 14, 2025 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Addison Landis and Minnie Landis; her husband William McCannon; her daughter Carole Humphrey; her grandson Jeff Mader; and her great grandchild Kylee Jo Mader.
She is survived by: her children, David McCannon (Leisa) of Covington, Georgia, Michael McCannon (Carol) of Atlanta, Georgia, Deborah Mader of Basehor, Kansas and Sheri Elam (Barry) of Lenexa, Kansas.; and her sister Hilda Ray (Bob) of Waxhaw. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Basehor United Methodist Church, in care of Alden-Harrington Funeral Home.
