It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arlen Richter of Barnes, Kansas, born in Waterville, Kansas, who passed away on October 12, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton William and Hulda Elizabeth Richter (Steenbock); his wife Dixie Marie Gross; and his siblings, Janice Johnson and Carroll Richter.
He is survived by: his children, Becky Schurle of Clay Center, Cindy Richter of Kansas City, Missouri and Derek Richter of Ottawa; and his grandchildren, Blaine Schurle, Trevin Schurle, Jacey Schurle and Vanessa Richter.
Memorials are suggested to the Arlen Richter Memorial Fund, to be designated later, and may be sent in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
