In loving memory of Robert Vernon Courtney of Baldwin City, Kansas, who departed this world on February 3, 2025 at the age of 89. Robert leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon E. Courtney and Vivian Courtney (Reeves). He is survived by: his wife Marlene L. Jamison; his children, Bruce Courtney (JoAnn) of Shawnee, KS and Debbie Boedeker (Phil) of Lee's Summit, MO; his grandchildren, Kelly Kelly (Adam) of Basehor, KS, Jamie Fryatt (Marcus) of Kansas City, MO, Courtney Birk (Tyler) of Lee's Summit, MO and Bobby Courtney (Calah) of Basehor, KS; and his sisters, Kathleen Thomas of Baldwin City, KS and Vernell St. John of Lawrence, KS. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (704 Eighth St, Baldwin City, KS 66006).
