She is survived by: her parent Ruth of Baldwin City; her brother David Dickinson (Sahja Cove) of Olympia, Washington; her niece Anya Dickinson-Cove of Los Angeles, California; and her nephew Caleb Dickinson-Cove of Seattle.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations in Laura's name can be made to the Community Food Pantry at First United Methodist Church or to the Lumberyard Arts Center sent c/o Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home P.O. Box 64, Baldwin City, KS 66006.

“I received the news of Laura's passing, this afternoon, and although my heart is heavy, my soul is full. I met Laura 17 years ago. Her enthusiasm for advocating for others was infectious and what intrigued and prompted me to ask more about the KGP. Laura was, not only, my trainer & mentor... she was my friend. I will miss our conversations, her words of wisdom & encouragement and that beautiful smile & laugh which just embodied who she was! Until we meet again, my friend!”
