He was predeceased by: his parents, John L Scruggs and Doris Jeffries Scruggs; and his siblings, Michael Scruggs and Vickie Scruggs. He is survived by: his wife Lena Scruggs of Lawrence; his children, Cameron Scruggs of Lawrence, Nadia Scruggs of Baldwin City and Mindy Holcombe (Matt) of Atlanta, GA; his sister Pamela Cooper of Ft. Collins, Colorado; his sisters-in-law, Cathy Scruggs and Veruschka Frolow of Lawrence; and his grandchildren, Winn Scruggs, Jovi Holcombe, Marlee Holcombe, Henly Holcombe and Stevie Holcombe.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project, sent in care of the funeral home.
