He was predeceased by: his adoptive parents, Earl R. Ballinger and Georgia Ballinger (Collins); his parents, Earl Ballinger and Georgia Ballinger; and his brother-in-law Roy Kretzinger.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Ballinger; his daughters, Heather Ballinger of Baldwin City, KS and Deena Winkeler (Jay) of St. Peters, MO; his sister Suzy Kretzinger of Wichita, KS; his brothers-in-law, Reverend Robert Ford of Baldwin City, KS and Bill Ford of Otis, OR; and his grandchildren, Artemis Winkeler of St. Peters, MO, Teegan Winkeler of St. Peters, MO and Quinn Winkeler of St. Peters, MO. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (704 Eighth St, Baldwin City, KS 66006). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
