She was predeceased by: her parents, William Leslie and Billie Margarite Melanson (Combs); and her brothers, Dean Melanson and Monte Melanson. She is survived by: her husband Jim Brightman of Independence, MO; her son Mason Mullen (Paul Mullen) of Valdez, AK; and her sister Mona Palmer (Sam) of Montrose, CO. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
