It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elizabeth Mae Barnes of Baldwin City, Kansas, born in Columbia, Missouri, who passed away on September 13, 2021, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Burton and Mary Burton (Cunningham); her husband John E. Barnes; her siblings, Oscar Burton and Shirley McNear; and her grandson James.

She is survived by: her children, Roy Barnes (Cathy) of Overbrook, Mary Gilby (Chris) of Gardner and Kathryn Barnes of Pomona; and her siblings, Robert Burton, Janice Thompson of Warsaw and Patricia Barnes of Lawrence. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
