With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Chalender (Baldwin City, Kansas), born in Lawrence, Kansas, who passed away on April 9, 2019 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Aloysius Powell and Josephine Kerr Powell; her husband Robert R. Chalender; and her brothers, William Powell, Allen Powell, Robert Powell and George Powell.
She is survived by: her children, James Chalender of Topeka, Dale Chalender (Krista) of Big Lake and Richard Chalender (Debbie) of Baldwin City, Kansas; and her sisters, Rosemary Robinson of Oklahoma, Judy Johanning (Orville) of Baldwin City, Darlene Schwartz (Allan) of Baldwin City and Dorothy Johanning (Richard) of Baldwin City, Kansas. She is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
