He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Deters and Rachel Deters (Rettele); his siblings, Elmer Deters, Audrey Feldkamp, Mary Ruhkamp, Karlene Ronnebaum, Elaine Duryea and Reva Deters; his grandson Travis Deters; and his daughter-in-law Deborah Deters.
He is survived by: his wife Marilee Strathman; his children, Keith Deters (Jean) of Seneca, Annette Koch (Charlie) of Baileyville, Eileen Hazzard (Steve) of Overland Park, KS, Thomas Deters (Theresa) of Seneca, Robert Deters (Cheri) of Seneca, John Deters (Pamela) of Baileyville, Glen Deters of Seneca, William Deters (Amy) of Onaga and Catherine Deters of Topeka; and his siblings, Gilbert Deters (Shirley) of Centralia, Paul Deters (Carol) of Topeka, Rosann Huninghake of Seneca, Donald Deters (Mary Jane) of Axtell, Larry Deters (Mary Ellen) of Topeka, Mark Deters (Dottie) of Baileyville and Marceil Bergman (John) of Seneca. He is also survived by 30 grandchildren, and 33 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given for the New Parish Hall Building Fund in Baileyville.
