She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Glynn and Margaret Glynn (Mitchell); her husband Raymond Mathewson; her son James Mathewson; and her siblings, Gerald Glynn and Patricia Kramer.
She is survived by: her children, Elaine Sears (Ted) of Salina, KS, Robert Mathewson (Lisa), Donald Mathewson of Summerfield, KS, Jane Rottinghaus (Tim) of Baileyville, KS and Michael Mathewson (Lisa); her daughter-in-law Jennifer Mathewson; and her sister Gladys Koch (Seneca). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established to the Axtell American Legion.
