He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Carlson and Mary Carlson (Allen); his children, Robert Carlson and Janyce Milner; his brothers, Gene and Ivan Carlson; and his sister-in-law Sharon Clark.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Patty" Pletcher; his daughters, Jeanne Jacobson (Roger) of Axtell and Judy Zimmerling (Phil) of Axtell; his grandchildren, Rhonda Jacobson, Littleton, Colo, James Kroeger (Sara), Justin Kroeger (Makenzie), Jordan Kroeger, Neb, Sheela Scheele (Ethan) and Rachel Musil; his sister June McMasters; and his sisters-in-law, Jan Carlson (Jack) and Rebeca Carlson. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
