He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. Sr and Helga Hirt, Sr. (Lindquist); his former wife Norma Lee; and his brothers, Gail Hirt and Charles "Jiggs" Hirt.
He is survived by: his wife Norma; his daughters, Jacine Alderson (Stan) of Chapman and Linda Meyers (John) of Clifton; his grandchildren, Sarah (Shannon), Josh, Racheal, Cora and Monica; his stepdaughters, Shari Poole (Mike) of Knoxville and Ann Gehin (Jess) of Idaho Falls; and his stepgrandsons, Spencer and Devin. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
