She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Hamel and Marcelline Hamel (Breault); her son Lyle Lee Slater; her husband Dean; her grandson Ethan Slater; and her sister Arlene Egolf.
She is survived by: her children, Greg (Laurie Slater), Sherry (Todd Krahl), Bill Slater (John Gregory), Julie (Cliff Snellings) and Doug Slater of Plattsburg, MO; and her brothers, Marve (Toni Hamel) and Mick (Denise Hamel). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Memorials are to the Alzheimer's Association or Gentiva Hospice.
