He was predeceased by: his parents, Iva Irene (Yaxley) and William Alfonso Bassett; and his brother Paul Bassett. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis (Miller); his children, William "Bill" Bassett of Towanda, KS, John Bassett (LaRonna) of Augusta, KS and Regina Phillips of Columbus, OH; his grandchildren, Candace Beisel (Neil), Johnathon Bassett (Kelsey) and Tucker Phillips; and his great grandchildren, Eli Smith, IV, Beisel, Braydon Shea and Wesley Bassett.
A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Augusta First Church of the Nazarene (117 W 6th Ave, Augusta, KS 67010).
