We are sad to announce that on November 22, 2019, at the age of 86, Velva Jean Whitesel (Augusta, Kansas), born in Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Nolan Raymond and Vera Ion Cash (Jennings); and her siblings, Robert Cash (Sandra), Diana Lambert (Dewey) and Lucretia Epp.

She is survived by: her husband Doyle Sheldon Whitesel; her daughters, Marsha Owen (Carl) of Augusta and Sherrie Elkins (Jesse) of Ottumwa, IA; her grandchildren, Garrett Owen (Rita), Lindsey Leath (Ben), Jessica Willis (Mike) of Christiansburg, VA, Hannah Weaser (Garrett) of Katy, TX and Ezekiel Elkins; her great grandchildren, Braxon, Seriphina Owen, McKena, Aundrea, Adalyn Willis and Emma Weaser; and her brother-in-law Ivan Epp of Turpin, OK. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews & many special lifelong friends.
