It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roberta M. Hughes (Augusta, Kansas), born in Neosho Rapids, Kansas, who passed away on May 12, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Ware and Delma Ware (McMillin); and her brother James Ware. She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah M. Scheck (Richard) of Roeland Park and Jeanette E. Ard (Bruce) of Great Bend, Kansas; her brother Jon Ware (Rosemary) of Topeka, Kansas; and her sister-in-law Dorothy Ware of Augusta, Kansas. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hughes will lie in state from 10:00 A. M. to 12:00 P. M. on Saturday, May 16, 2020, at Dengel & Son Mortuary where family and friends may pay their respects staying in compliance with COVID-19 restrictions.
