We bid farewell to Neal Patrck Spies of Augusta, Kansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 1, 2025 at the age of 82. Neal touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret V. Spies (Mudd) and Harold E. Spies; his wife Linda Sue (Norvel); and his sister Elizabeth June Sauls. He is survived by: his children, Dwane Patrick Spies (Mina) of Augusta, KS, Neal Christopher Spies (Kimberly) of Rose Hill, KS, Ruth Krug of Wichita, KS, Angie McFall of Mulhall, OK, Melinda Jabara (Bacheus) of Sedgwick, KS and Margaret Golembiewski (RJ) of Cedar Rapids, IA; his grandchildren, Noel of Gabriel, EJ, Daylan, Zane, Emma, Michael, Arin, Holley, Tyson, Haddie, Kaden, Ryker, Akira, Madelyn and Seleste; and his brothers, Gene Spies (Jane) of Elsberry, MO and Dennis Spies (Joyce) of St. Peters, MO. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Headley Funeral Chapel (813 State St, Augusta, KS 67010). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery (1208 N College St, Winfield, KS 67156).
