She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruby Anderson (Richardson) and Melvin Anderson; her husband Ronald Lee Lakin; her siblings, Jerry, Don Anderson, Betty Blaker and Melba Hosier; and her grandson Justin Martin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Marsha Martin (Todd) of Augusta, KS, Lisa Nixon of El Dorado, KS and Deb Engelbrecht (Randy) of Augusta, KS; her siblings, Nancy Wescott (Jon) of Willard, MO, Joann Houchin of Fredonia, KS, Bud Anderson (Peggy) of New Albany, KS and Rick Anderson (Becky) of Willard, MO; her brother-in-law Richard Lakin (Esther) of El Dorado, KS; her grandchildren, Jaime Smith (Colton), Ashley Martin, Derek Highbarger (Sarah), David Highbarger (Amanda), James Nixon, Amy Nixon, Zack Engelbrecht, Emily Engelbrecht and Caleb Rogers (Sarah); and her great grandchildren, Kinsley Smith, Eva, Adlyn Beardsley, Cayden, Landen, MyCaela Highbarger, Tristan, Myles, Josh, Jesse Highbarger, Cole, Peyton and Reid Rogers.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Headley Funeral Chapel (813 State St, Augusta, KS 67010). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Elmwood Cemetery (14297 SE Cole Creek Rd, Leon, KS 67074).
