She was predeceased by: her parents, Grace Eva (Burkholder) and Allen Jacob Heberly; her former husband Marvin K. Barnes; her spouse Merle Toon; her brothers, Lester, Robert, Donald, Maurice, Adrian, Clair and Verlin Heberly; and her half-sister Lois Heberly.
She is survived by: her sons, Marvin Keith Barnes, Jr. (Sharon) and Roger Allen Barnes (Aletha); her grandchildren, Briony Smith (Nathan) and Mallory Morton (Alan); and her great grandchildren, Brody, Jackson and Tucker Morton.
