He was predeceased by: his parents, Darwin Potter and Gloria Triggiani; his siblings, Dan Potter and Sally Booth; and his stepsiblings, Mike Pullen and Becky Gile.
He is survived by: his son Troy Potter of Salina, KS; and his siblings, Don Potter of Swan, IA, Diane Bender of Swan, IA, Marilyn Maeschen (Mark) of Knoxville, IA, Christine Bender (Jim) of Swan, IA, Jackie Newcomer of Newton, KS, Tracy Newell (Kevin) of Belle Plaine, KS and Sheila Temple of Cedar Falls, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
