She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Custer and Gladys Myers (Humphrey); her husband Willard Lee Carter; and her siblings, Jacob Myers, Eugene Myers, David Myers and Drucilla Goltry.

She is survived by: her children, Steven Carter, Carol Walker (Jeff), Dwight Carter (Janice), Julie Boren (Tom), Neil Carter (Mary) and Lyle Carter (Jayne); her grandchildren, Rebekah Powell, Christa Cockrell (Nathan), Paula Koca (Ben), Tim Carter (Lauren), Melody Walker, Lisa Wayland (Luke), Chad Carter (Madeline), Melanie Brown (Barry), Natalie Faulk (Patrick), Dana Carter, Alex Carter, Megan Simpson (Joey) and Beth Patton (Tyler); her great grandchildren, Andrew Cockrell, Claire Koca, Ellie Koca, Felicity Koca, Adele Koca, Hannah Carter, Susannah Carter, Tyler Thompson, Aiden Brown, Caitlin Faulk and Paige Faulk; her sisters, Elizabeth Darbe and Margaret Sharpe (Ed); and also Paul Myers.
