He was predeceased by: his father Roscoe "Jack" Hoefgen. He is survived by: his mother Mary Hoefgen (Raple); his wife Donna June Hoefgen (Defore); his children, Jenny Uhrmacher (Richard) and Nick Hoefgen (Sarah); his siblings, Robert Hoefgen (Robin) of Augusta, Bill Hoefgen (Sue) of Augusta, Joe Hoefgen (Atefeh) of Long Beach, CA and Pat Coiner (Dale) of El Dorado, KS.; and his great grandchild Jensen Taylor Johnson.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to St. James Catholic Church Good Shepherd Atrium, or youth mission group at St. James Catholic Church, 1012 Belmont Avenue, Augusta, KS 67010.
