He was predeceased by: his father Carl Farthing; and his son Daniel Farthing. He is survived by: his mother Cynthia Farthing (Solomon); his wife Cathi Farthing (Pope); his children, Britta Peterson, Trey Farthing (Michelle), Trevis Farthing (Cydney), Jonathan Pope (Jaryn), Joshua Irwin (Catherine) and Jenna Lechner (Emmitt); his grandchildren, Brysen, Elijah and Kaizer; his siblings, Joshua Farthing and Karla Farthing; his nieces, Joee and Kayla; and also, Jonathan, Joshua and Jenna.

Memorial donations in Jason's name can be made to the Kansas Humane Society.
