He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Cecil Chapin and Mabel Chapin (Matson); his spouse Diedra McCarter; his children, Marilyn Warren (Phil) of Frisco, TX., David Chapin (Elisabet Livengood) of El Dorado, KS and Curtis Chapin of Carlsbad, CA; and his grandchildren, Alex Chapin of Denver, CO and Madeline Chapin of Delhi, NY.. He was also cherished by two sister-in-laws, three brother-in-laws all in TX; plus numerous nieces and nephews.
