He is survived by: his wife Diane Elaine Higgs (Smith); his sons, Christopher Higgs (Caitlin) of California and Matthew Higgs of North Carolina; his brother Daniel Higgs (Debby) of Powder Springs, GA; and his grandson Jasper Newcomer-Higgs.
