He was predeceased by: his parents, William Galen and Dortha May Appleman (Downs); his wife Rose Elizabeth Thompson; and his brother Bill Appleman. He is survived by: his sons, Steve Appleman (Susan) of El Dorado and David Appleman of Lawrence; his grandchildren, Scott Appleman (Janice) of Tucson, AZ, Salli Vance (Leland) of Augusta, Jacob Appleman of Lawrence and Jenna Appleman of Lawrence; and his great grandchildren, Elly, Lucy, Harper Appleman, Maci and Jackson Vance.
Memorial Contributions be made out to the First Baptist Church, left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
