It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Horton of Atwood, Kansas, who passed away on March 27, 2021, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her brothers, Robert Clarence and Thomas Raber Brown (Bud); her husband William Ryneck Horton, Jr.; her daughter Ellen Ryneck Horton; and her granddaughter Ashly Horton.
She is survived by: her children, W. R. Horton, III, Jennifer Horton Woofter (Mike), Silas Ryneck Horton, William Ryneck Horton, III and Barnabas D. Horton Atwood (Cathy); and her grandchildren, Stanley Ward Morgan, Rachael Morgan Decker, Ryneck Morgan Sharp, Taylor Horton Carter, William Ryneck Horton, IV, B. D. Horton, Mary Rachael Horton, Emily Horton Shaffer, Megan Horton Hester, Tenille Schwanke, Taryn Crawford, Quinlynn Carpenter and Quade Woofter. She is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Atwood Second Century Fund, in care of Farmers Bank & Trust, Atwood.
