It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jon Michael Sanford of Atlanta, Kansas, born in Benton, Arkansas, who passed away on April 26, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Sanford and Margaret Sanford (Taylor); and his siblings, Bud Sanford, Fenton Sanford, Eugene Sanford and Pat Warren.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn L. Patton of Atlanta; his children, Guy Sanford (Sara) of Valley Center and Kim Hays of Winfield; his sisters, Clara Cheek of Webb City, MO and Marilyn Hammond of Carthage, MO; and his grandchildren, Dakota Soukup, Rhett Sanford, Cody Sanford, Waddie Sanford, Zane Sanford and Steen Hays.

A memorial has been established in Mike's name for the American Cancer Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
