He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Coats and Everett Coats; his wife Judy Coats (Rankin); his stepson Anthony King; and his grandson Dakota McKinney.
He is survived by: his daughter Melissa Ernzen of Damascus, AR; his stepchildren, Leanna Ellis (Hunter), Krystina King, Wesley King, Jimmy King, Aaron King and Rod Rankin; his sisters, Jocelyn Giles, Michaela Wilson (Will) and Dee Elaine; his siblings-in-law, Jennifer Buss and Jayson Shoup; his grandchildren, Ricky, Amanda, Ashley, Noella, Destiny, Kaytlyn and Karleigh; and his great grandchildren, Aubrey and Mia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
