With solemn reverence, we commemorate Lois I. Petersen of Atchison, Kansas, whose life came to an end on February 13, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fredrick Graner and Ruth Graner (Bodenhausen); her daughter Shonya K. McBride (Petersen); and her granddaughter Jessica Nicole Baker. She is survived by: her husband Richard Petersen of John's Lutheran Church; her children, Kelli D. Baker (Hicks) of Atchison, KS and Jeffrey L. Petersen (Tina) of Gypsum, CO; her siblings, Richard Graner (Ann) of Bethany, MO, Dean Graner (Vicki) of Grand Cane, LA and Mary Anna Dove of Atchison, KS; and her friends, Jeff of Atchison, KS., Renea Baker of Atchison, KS., Ronnie of Atchison, KS. and JoAnne Baker of Atchison, KS.. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (101 N Broadway St, Lancaster, KS 66041). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Atchison Humane Society or the St. John's Lutheran Church and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home who is handling the services.
